The Reels

If Playtech's high-end, big-name Marvel tie-in slots like Incredible Hulk and the popular Iron Man 2 were your first forays into comic book-themed games, this effort from Cryptologic is a nice companion piece to those.
It's pretty hardcore in terms of betting, and you have to remember the Bonus Bet button when gunning for the extra games, but the rewards could be potentially huge.

Game developer Cryptologic has a real knack for creating innovative bonus games on it branded video slot games. With Superman, the player is transported to Metropolis where they will help Superman battle nemesis Lex Luther for big prizes. Due to many of the games symbols and bonus features, players who love Superman comics will certainly appreciate the nostalgic feeling this game creates.
The Superman video slot is played with 5-reels and 50 pay lines. Betting limits range from $.01 per line on the low end to a maximum of $2.00 per pay line. Common Superman icons like Clark Kent’s glasses, Lois Lane, Lex Luther and the Daily planet symbol among others, represent the games standard low-paying symbols.
Superman represents the game’s wild symbol. It only appears on reels 2-4 and substitutes for all other symbols except the game’s scatter, which is represented by the “S” Superman logo. Additionally, landing all three wild symbols will initialize 10 free spins with expanding wilds and multipliers.
While five Superman wilds on a single pay line rewards the player with a 10,000X payout, the game’s primary focus is placed on the scatter symbol. If the player lands three or more scatter symbols, they are introduced to “Save the World” bonus feature. Verdict: The game comes with really cool video and audio features, which make the game worth the price of admission. While the graphics might seem a little lacking, the interactive bonus game makes the overall playing experience both exciting and fun. In this reviewer’s humble opinion, Superman remains one of Cryptologic’s better video slots currently available at online casinos.
